Framing paintings, framing mirrors, framing workshops.

Rėmai.lt framing workshops provide top-quality framing services. We accept frame orders at Užupio g. 19, Vilnius, and Vytauto pr. 60, Kaunas, while those who prefer to stay home can conveniently order a frame online.

On our website, you will find a large catalog of frames, where you can narrow your search by frame color, style, and width to easily find the picture frame you are looking for. Our catalog includes wooden frames for paintings, plastic frames for paintings, and metal frames for photographs.

We often recommend aluminum frames for framing watercolors, graphics, photographs, and maps. The wooden frames we import from Italy are perfect for framing the aforementioned items, but are irreplaceable for framing paintings on canvas or wood and photo canvases.

We also recommend wide, ornate wooden frames for framing mirrors. When framing a mirror, it is very important that the frame is sturdy and can support the weight of a heavy mirror, so thin, delicate frames are not suitable here. We emphasize that our framed mirrors are coated with a special film that prevents the mirror from shattering into shards in case of breakage, thus protecting against injuries.

Plastic frames can often replace wooden ones. The advantage of plastic frames is their attractive price. Additionally, plastic frames are superior to wooden ones in damp environments. For example, we recommend choosing a plastic mirror frame for bathroom mirrors.

When choosing a frame for a mirror, the frame should match the home interior. For classic style, luxurious interiors, we recommend aged, ornate frames adorned with gold or silver, while for modern interiors – contemporary, minimalist frames with fewer decorative details.

When framing a painting or any artwork, the frame is more matched to the artwork itself, as paintings are rarely reframed. Often, the frame chosen for a painting travels with the painting from generation to generation, from one home to another.

In our framing workshops, there is an option to frame with a mat. All mats used by Rėmai.lt are acid-free and do not harm your artwork. Mats are especially recommended for framing watercolors, graphic works, and photographs. Mats give the framed object volume, space, and elegance.

If you want a greater impact, the painting can be framed with several mats, for example, surrounding a graphic work with a wider white mat and a narrower black one. Our craftsmen, with extensive framing experience, will ensure that your ordered frame looks impeccable, and our staff will help you choose the perfectly matching frame and consult you on all related questions.
